Let's start it... Warriors going for a back to back and 3 out of 4. Yikes for Gordon Hayward.

Different game. Doesn't matter.

He WILL be a bad shooter in the pros with that stroke. And worse, he'll be one dimensional.

Looks like they benched him. Hasn’t played any of the 4th and game has 2 minutes left

Unsurprisingly, the Lakers finally started pulling away from a lousy Phoenix team right when he hit the pine and Clarkson took over. Ball was all that was keeping Phx in it.

He's bad, fellas. Be a Lakers fan - that's fine. Bit be honest; Ball is a detriment. And to be clear, I'd have taken him #2 as well but it's looking more and more apparent that Tatum was the pick.

And then they wouldn't have had to dump Russell.

I just never understood taking a guy that can't shoot and isn't an exceptional athlete. Hell, I'd have taken Fox over Ball.

It's like taking a qb that can't throw and hoping you can make him accurate

Think Walton will take him out of the starting lineup? Having coached the Warriors I am surprised he would play a guard who can’t hit 3’s. Pretty much a basic requirement in today’s NBA.

Rondo cant shoot. Literally. His high college FG % was a result of driving to the hoop and getting easy shots. He made 0.3 3FG a game, Lonzo made 2.5 a game. Rondo also shot .570 from the FT line in college

So we're at that stage of the game again where the Lakers have to decide if they actually care about winning.

Because if they do, they'll get Bricklayer Ball off the goddamn court.

He just missed 2 uncontested 3s in a 6 second span and barely drew iron on either (actually went off the backboard on accident for the 1st).

1-7 with 2 points. 1 assist to 2 turnovers and 3 personal fouls.

He ****ing sucks and he's killing LA. If they have any interest in winning games this year, Clarkson has to start.

EDIT: Clang! 1-8; 0-6 behind the line.

Told you guys he has bust written all over him. He's still very young but watch, at best he will be a role-player.

A lot of you idiots bought into the hype because of his father. Ball gets more press coverage than most NBA draft picks and he sucks. It's ridiculous.

Do you think reflection time on the bench is what Ball needs, though? I can't get in his head to understand how he ticks, but if he's the kind of player who just needs to work through his struggles, you may as well ride him and rack up more losses this year.

SNR is right - you need to shut the **** up when the adults are speaking.

Truth be told, I don't care.

If his ego can't handle some time on the bench, I don't have time for him. When I made that post the Lakers were down 8. They yanked him shortly thereafter and took a 1 pt lead into the 4th.

His teammates are playing AROUND him and they're openly exasperated by having to carry the guy. Imagine playing pickup hoops but your mom says you have to play on your little brothers team and he has to get the ball more than anyone else. You'd just quit. His teammates appear to actively hate being on the floor with him because he's monopolizing the ball and he suuuu*******s.

Figure out how to play or fade away, kid. The Lakers don't have a 1st this year; ain't any sense in tanking. Win games and the way that will happen is Clarkson in the lineup and Ball shooting jumpers in practice until he can't raise his arms anymore then watching from the bench.

And that's obviously what they will do. The Lakers are playing for absolutely nothing in the Western Conference right now. Makes no sense to bench the #2 pick in the draft a dozen games into his career.

Likely ROY Ben Simmons doesn't actually take shots further than 16 feet from the basket. He literally can't do it and knows it. Still finding ways to be a pretty productive player despite that limitation.
