There's a chance that the Chiefs are just shutting down Ford so he can't claim an injury in the off-season that will keep them from cutting him due to the 'health guaranteed' 5th year option.

If he's not back by week 13, he won't be back at all, IMO.

Yep. Neither Ford nor Hali are earning their salaries. Veach needs to aggressively pursue options at edge rusher this offseason. Personally, I think KPass has potential, but until proven any more than that, we aren't in great shape at the position.

Whatever it takes to ensure he isn't on the books next year, thebChiefs need to do. We can find someone who is a better all around player for 50-75% of the cost.

This could be one of those deals too where Reid is looking at the opponent and saying, hey, we can probably win without you guys and give you an extra week of rest. But, it's frustrating regardless.
