I guess the Chiefs think they can just throw anyone out there and win tomorrow.

THIS would be excellent. Mix in Nicolas with KPass.. mix in RNR to spell inside as needed.

... and the CBs have to press more, if ever the pass rush would have a chance.

They've been really cautious with injuries for a while

I get it, but at some point guys are just hurt and there no motive to it.

Tamba was likely done coming into the year. They couldn't cut him due to the cap, so this is what we get.

But after this year all these old guys need to go

Veach/Reid are staring right in the face at a potential $30-40+ million in cap space with Mahomes, Hunt, Kelce, Hill, the entire OL, Jones, Houston, Peters, Berry and more set to return...

Not a bad situation by any means I don't think. They just have to pick the right places to use their resources. I'd love to see a few of those savvy Sean Smith esque signings. Not the flashiest name, but a guy who can really play in their schemes. Veach needs to get ahead on some extensions too if possible.

Look at Mack and Von Miller. Getting paid big money and both underperforming this year. Why? Lack of talent surrounding them.

The coverage hasn't helped the pass rush this year at all. How often do we see QBs patting the ball looking for someone to throw to against our defense? It hasn't been common outside of the first 2-3 weeks.

Hindsight but Denver could have had both if they hadn't passed on Houston...

Can you imagine?

what you described is what they run in sub-packages anyway, sans ragland/dj interchangeable. I would like to just see kpass in instead of zombo.

they need to sign or draft at least one or two actual decent proven NFL LBers for next season between ILB and OLB

no clue how, maybe by trade? Dont think theres anyone in FA worth a crap and I dont trust them without a first rounder cause they will just draft another 3 year project in the second.

Zach brown would be nice

They've gotta get more athletic in the front 7

I liked KPL playing against Dallas. I'd like to see him and Ragland play together more

This is why Alex is starting this entire year. This is the last shot for the old guys to get it done, then a purge will happen in 2018.

Yep. Maybe part of an Alex Smith trade with JVille.
