This team has went south since the Steelers came to town. The tape showed Smith missing 4 to 5 TD opportunities. There have been other missed chances since. You know the players see the tape.

Meanwhile, we are starting to hear Mahomes is killing it in practice. From the players.

Coaches aren't going to say it publicly, but they don't have to. Players know.

Herd on Sunday Night Football that the Chiefs are playing with no passion. Both before the game and at halftime.

I'm guessing the players know it's time to play the guy that gives the team the best chance.

I'm sure a lot of the players realize Smith blows and Mahomes gives us a better chance going forward. But they're still all playing for their own careers first and foremost. Multi-million dollar contracts on the line. I doubt they're gonna purposely shit the bed because Alex Smith can only throw 32 yards.

I get it though. Surely must be frustrating to be part of this offense. Plenty of times the line blocked their asses off and gave him adequate time only for him to get happy feet and piss the play away. Or for a WR or TE to streak downfield wide open for the 80th time this season.
