Cover 2 weakness is the outside "gap" between corner and safety, and the deep middle seams. The first requires a strong arm, the second requires the attitude of "I wanna destroy this defense." Smith has neither. But Mahomes...

Does anyone else remember the play against Seattle during the preseason where Mahomes stuck one on the sideline to Jehu Chesson about 20-25 yards down field? That was cover 2. And that was an arm that can beat it with ease.
