This hire says the exact opposite - Reid will go back to calling plays and running the offense. It's a lazy hire, and clearly, no outside search was even considered. Very disappointing.

How many years has it been since you were confident the Chiefs would get the first down on 3rd and 1?


This move doesn't do anything to fix the problems exposed in this offense the past 2-3 seasons.

While I don't disagree, the Chiefs biggest problem in short yardage situations is that they have not been able to find a bonafide starting Left Guard during Reid's entire tenure.

Without a big, strong, tenacious but mobile left guard, the Chiefs are pretty much hosed in those situations.

And I don't think that Morse is the answer. He's injury prone and more of a ballerina than a brawler.
