I didn't realize that Bob Sutton was that relevant nationally (outside of Chiefs circles) for someone to create a fake Twitter account to report fake news about him.

It was probably someone who posts on CP doing it just to troll us.

I wonder if we would be calling for Sutton's head if Berry hadn't gotten hurt. I mean, look at our defense in game one. We shut down the Pats. Gronk was a non factor. Brady looked done. But then, the defense went to shit. Berry is an amazing athlete. Bob knows this and his defense was built on that. When Berry went down, Sutton's schemes failed. There was no replacing Eric Berry. In the past, DJ and Houston were dominating and that would have helped compensate for the loss. Remember when Cam Chancellor was in his prime and holding out? That dominant Seattle defense suddenly didn't look so great. That being said, I want Sutton gone because I'm sick of seeing Justin Houston in coverage. But I do believe that the defense will look better next year with Berry back whether Sutton stays or goes.

I suppose when the Chiefs announce something then we will know. The one thing I haven't seen is a vote of confidence from anyone in the Chiefs organization unless I missed it. Perhaps their target is still coaching in the playoffs.

In the category of "wishful thinking", the Vikings (Zimmer's son would be fantastic), or the Steelers/Titans are still in the playoffs. Would not mind for a second poaching one of those guys. All very aggressive defenses.

Why the **** does Sutton still need to be on the payroll if this is indeed the case? Keep the seat warm?

Does that really give any benefit other than easing fans' minds? We have some good coaches on defense. Firing Sutton makes those guys immediately available. Here's a crazy thought... What if Gary Gibbs helps deliver Adam Zimmer?

We have enough skins on the wall with the defense the last five years to keep this staff intact.

I truly believe if they add one OLB, one CB and get Berry back ~90% we'll be back strong.

The defense was the backbone of this team from 2013-2016. It sure wasn't the QB.

Every single coach on that staff can get ****ed as far as I'm concerned. DL are soft and shit in the run game, outside of Ragland our LB core has regressed, and the secondary outside of Peters is a rotating wheel of sadness, and on a whole the "tackling" effort this team gives is pathetic.

Big difference in a firing and going out on your own terms by retirement. Why do you need him off the premises so bad? He my be doing after season evaluations meeting with players etc. We just dont know if he is staying of going, we do know he hasnt been fired.

Because I ****ing hate him for his part in embarrassing the team twice in the playoffs. Have I not made that clear enough?

I don't want it to be #fakenews, but I'll believe it anyway because it's comforting.
