In the category of "wishful thinking", the Vikings (Zimmer's son would be fantastic), or the Steelers/Titans are still in the playoffs. Would not mind for a second poaching one of those guys. All very aggressive defenses.

Why the **** does Sutton still need to be on the payroll if this is indeed the case? Keep the seat warm?

Does that really give any benefit other than easing fans' minds? We have some good coaches on defense. Firing Sutton makes those guys immediately available. Here's a crazy thought... What if Gary Gibbs helps deliver Adam Zimmer?

We have enough skins on the wall with the defense the last five years to keep this staff intact.

I truly believe if they add one OLB, one CB and get Berry back ~90% we'll be back strong.

The defense was the backbone of this team from 2013-2016. It sure wasn't the QB.

Every single coach on that staff can get ****ed as far as I'm concerned. DL are soft and shit in the run game, outside of Ragland our LB core has regressed, and the secondary outside of Peters is a rotating wheel of sadness, and on a whole the "tackling" effort this team gives is pathetic.

You wouldn't keep Gibbs and staff if it delivered Adam Zimmer? Adding the Zimmer scheme would be a boner and a half.

I'd bet that Andy won't fire Bob because then that might put his son's job in danger... unless of course you just promote from within, but who is really that good of a candidate on the staff right now? He'd just keep Bob as opposed to that.

It sucks but that's probably reality.

We never had these issues with tackling or any of that shit in previous years. You can see it in the players' faces. You can see it in Peters jawing off at Sutton. The players lost total faith in the scheme.

I cant disagree with any of the above. I will say that for the most part tackling around the league is bad as a whole. I think because of focus of the strip and creating turnovers.

It's because they don't practice anymore, post 2011 - same reason there's so many season ending injuries, especially early.

It's watered the whole thing down.

Big difference in a firing and going out on your own terms by retirement. Why do you need him off the premises so bad? He my be doing after season evaluations meeting with players etc. We just dont know if he is staying of going, we do know he hasnt been fired.

Because I ****ing hate him for his part in embarrassing the team twice in the playoffs. Have I not made that clear enough?
