Does this mean that Andy looked at the Defense and decided what it needed was ANOTHER voice in the room?
I have to believe this is the first move, not the last. I hope he is waiting on someone still playing.
Hiring a quality control coach doesnt really endorse your DC?

If there were major changes coming, wouldn't you make those first? Clearly, IMHO, odds of Sutton being retained just went up a lot.

Throw in this move with the lack of any rumors about us going after Zimmer of Spags....

You would want your new DC to make decisions about his new staff. Unless we have already agreed to terms with our new coach and he is the one making these decisions. I highly doubt it.

Changing lower coaches usually means you aren't changing higher coaches.
