In this scenario, however, their need for a young corner to replace the likely-departing Trumaine Johnson, and the value of a talented cover man like Oliver makes too much sense to move down.

Oliver is a really solid player, boasting good size and speed for the position. He’s precisely what the Rams are looking for at cornerback, standing at 6-1, likely with sub-4.5 speed. He could step in right away in the event that Trumaine Johnson leaves in free agency, starting alongside Kayvon Webster when he returns from injury.
