That said, I'd skip Hana highway. It sorta sounds cool at first, but at the end I wasn't thrilled I spent all that time driving on a ridiculously windy road. Why? So I can buy a t-shirt that says "I survived the Hana Highway"? Yeah, meh. So much awesomeness so you pick that? I wasn't thrilled with that choice.

Did you stop at all the cool shit on the way to Hana? The last time we drove it we stopped at every suggested place and hiked to all the waterfalls and scenic lookouts. By the time we reached the 7 pools we were exhausted. We ended up driving the last hour back to Kaanapali beach in the dark. We had an awesome time though.
