You know if you put Thomas out there and Berry comes back that would probably give the CB's some more confidence and with as good as Thomas is maybe Berry can freelance a bit going for big plays.

And that confidence gets pushed out to the rest of this defense as well. The ILBs are more confident because they know they have Thomas and Berry behind them. The defensive line....same thing.

Lots of ifs...but that would be the best safety combo in modern NFL history. TEs might as well stay in and block..

Sounds to me like the team is sold that Sorenson is something special, I'm sure he's better than what we have now but is he above average? Our defense has been crap with him.

I get that he wouldn't say much on the subject but to say "that's not where were at" kind of writes it on the wall. They aren't gonna sign him.

On the other hand he could just say that to stick up for the D and then when we do sign him he can say "thats on Veach" so he doesn't have to look like an asshole to his players.

That is a joke Sorenson is a role player...if he would come back and O'Daniel would develop you might sell me that the short zones in passing downs will improve but deep safety won't.

Would be nice if Berry would give them some cap relief to make this happen. Counting the post-season, the Denver game will his 20th consecutive game check without playing a single snap...on his new contract. He's played 3/4th of one game since signing.
