"What happened to Marcus Peters this year"

Duhhhh.... I kept telling people. Wade runs an aggressive man defense. Peters is not a great man corner. He got most of his INT's playing OFF in COVER 3 and reading the triangle.

Peters is more Sherman than Revis. He never fit Wade's scheme. IF he was on SF, LAC, or Seattle he'd probably lead the NFL in picks. He's a great playmaker, but a SYSTEM GUY.

How many plays do ANY of you remember Peters making when he was in press coverage? Wade is trying to use him as a shadow shutdown man corner and everyone is SHOCKED he's not playing well?

How much to these guys get paid to not understand things some asshole fan (me) can clearly see?

This might be hard to choke down for some... but Peters was productive because Sutton knew how to utilize him.

What? We ran man and Peters was great at it. Rams are currently running zone. If anything, your argument is backwards.

Wade Phillips disagrees with you.

Both guys actually play a lot of man. He followed Thomas around most of the game.

Who do I believe?

You, or my lying eyes?

You're still whiffing on the greater overall point, which is that Peters strength is not shadowing in press man coverage. He sucks at it.

That's why he was never used that way in KC.

I never said he was in press man. For the most part he was in off man with us and it worked more times than not.

Sutton just did a better job of covering up weaknesses than Wade currently is

So you're saying Peters made most of his POSITIVE plays when KC was running press man coverage? lol no. Even in Man he was frequently aligned in off coverage to allow him to diagnose.

You're wrong. Just decisively and unquestionably wrong. Peters is shadowing in a lot of cover 1 man with wade, just like the big play he gave up at the end of the game. That's not his game.

You're wrong. Very wrong.
