I think the player threats and getting the NFLPA involved was the dealbreaker. There was no chance the union was going to certify that field and then this was just going to become a massive conflict that would've been aired in public. And coming at the same time as the Le'Veon Bell drama and on the heels of the Earl Thomas injury, it would've been horrific optics. Players are becoming more aggressive in protecting themselves and I'm all for it. Their shelf life is short and their contracts have a fraction of a guarantee. And who can blame their not wanting to subject themselves to this field?

While I'm sure there will be some significant KC support, it's less likely the Chiefs win this game now that it is a Rams home game rather than on a neutral field. Too bad for us that this field was trash.

George Toma could NOT have gotten that field ready .... The weather played a part as it's been wetter than expected - But a concert 9 days ago ??
I'd expect someone in the NFL is losing their job over it though

The stadium people who were woefully unprepared to have their stadium and their country in the spotlight for the biggest stage in regular season football, or the NFL idiots who just figured it was all good until some social media posts made them go..."UM...we might have to take a look at that field..."

There was a concert at Arrowhead 5 days before the Eagles vs Chiefs game last year. It's more common than you'd think
