Was supposed to go up to Kearney today to visit a high school buddy of mine. Better not go. I'm too Floridian to remember how to drive in that stuff...

Too cold, wouldn't be able to get an accurate measurement. It would have been hard to hit the bottom if snow we're warm, but since it's cold I'd shrivel up and the old Peter would go right up inside.

I really think my old house had more concrete. And it was also a ****fest when the wind blew (every time). RE: Country Living. That's because you're in town all the time. I'm out in the country all the time. I grew up in the country and it was fine when I was a kid and I didn't have to do all the work. Now that I do have to do all the work, I want no part of it. Especially since I spend all my time doing that kind of nonsense all ****ing day anyway. If I'm going to do that kind of work, I just as well get a return on the shit. The thing about living in town is you don't have to deal with hogshit roads, there aren't any wells/pressure pumps/pressure tanks/pressure swithces that shit the bed at the most in-opportune times. There isn't a septic tank or leach field which are a total ****ing trainwreck if you have to do any work on them. There is more than one ****ing internet option. I can also do all my yard maintinence with a $200 walk behind mower instead of locking up better than a ****ing $100,000 in mowing and snow removal nonsense. That's not even talking about road maintinance. My parents and grandparents all thought I should move out to the farm when my parents moved to town. All I could see is how much god ****ing work had to be done and money needed to be spent. There is no way man. No ****ing way. I'll tell you the big thing though, is wind. On the plains where there are no trees, wind just rips across the landscape. It is ****ing relentless. It is really horrible to be out in. When I lived on the farm you always knew when it was windy. However, in town, other peoples houses break the wind, and my house seals up pretty good so I can get away. When I lived in the country it felt like I could never get away. If I worked 8-5 in town, sure, I'd be all over that action. Since I have to deal with that nonsense every day, I'm out. It's REALLY nice to get away for a few hours every day. prolly a couple inches, but the 60 MPH winds made it a total ****fest. If you drive all the way out here to throw eggs at my house and invariably get your ass beat when I catch you doing it, you're dumber than I thought |

Oh, and the other thing you have to sink a pile of ****ing money into is a generator. They get after power outages by people affected. So town gets their shit back in no time at all. If you're the only **** at the end of a line that has 10 poles blow down, prepare thy anus.
If I had cows, OK. But it is totally asenine for me to live out there and sink a mountain of money into shelter, water and shit removal when an option in town is available. |

Had the switch put in. Used it very little. But it was just insurance so he could sit in warmth and watch cowboy movies. I have it now. No switch yet.
