Jags release S Barry Church
@FieldYates: The Jaguars have released veteran S Barry Church. The former big free agent signing was a healthy scratch last week.
@AlbertBreer: Really interesting. He'll go to waivers, where another team can have him for the rest of the year for $529K. And they'd have the option to keep him at $6.25M in 2019 and $6.75M in 2020. https://twitter.com/phillip_heilman/...72876631429120 Can he help? |

We still had shit at the #2 safety spot. Guys like Vaccaro, Boston, Reid, etc. signed for pennies. Veach was just too dumb to see the need.

Any word about Church visiting anywhere? Read that the Cowboys are not pursuing him after some speculation they were looking into him.
I doubt any team wants him longer than the current season.... |

Actually PFF thinks both Parker and Murray are better than Church, and actually Murray is better than Parker (which I agree with, god Parker is terrible) |

I think it would be worth a shot to pick him up. Many times guys that have been let go are motivated to use what games they have as an audition for future employment.
