Chiefs Clark Hunt will bang the Pre-game drum

Here's the deal with Clark.

You can say he's cheap but it just ain't true. They spent money on all kinds of things, him and his dad both. Shawn Barber, Scott Pioli, 400 assistant coaches for Dick Vermeil, Alex Smith. They never had a problem spending money.

Maybe they were a little overly loyal to Carl, yeah.

But Clark's biggest problem was that he just wasn't the football guy his dad was in the beginning. He likes to hire and delegate, hire and delegate. He was just hiring the wrong guys with the wrong ideas.

He finally hired a guy that wanted to get a QB. That's really all there is to it. Nothing more.

I'll tell you this - hearing Clark on 810 yesterday morning gave me chills. This is OUR team, he's just taking care of it for us.
