Well if we had corners that would turn around and look for ball maybe they don’t score either

The Pats were comfortable going into half 7-0. They were trying to run out the clock. Reid should have swallowed his timeout and been incredibly happy going down 7-0.

I agree. I thought the same at the time. It is incredibly tempting with Mahomes at QB, but with his defense, not prudent.

The Pats were ready to concede the half at 7-0.
You had to be smart to realize 7-0 halftime score was a MONSTER win for the Chiefs considering how awful the first half went. Andy simply isn’t smart enough and couldnt process the situation. |

Terrible. 3rd and 4. You weren't getting a stop the way D was playing. I love Reid as an OC and QB savant, but he continues to mismanage game situations.

Yeah, that late touchdown was a backbreaker, especially when combined with not getting a score on the previous drive. I would've been thrilled to be down only 7-0 at that point.

It was the dumbest call of the year for Reid. Go in down by 7 because the defense wasn't going to stop them again. Once that timeout was called there was ZERO chance the defense wasn't going to give up a score.

Huh? Only reason they got that score is cause our players absolutely shit the bed the next play and let up 40 yards. They were still in run the clock mode even after the TO. Only in hindsight can you say they shouldn't have taken the TO. If we stop the screen after 5 yards, no one cares.

This. I actually couldn't believe the Patriots weren't going to try to score there, but it sure didn't look like it as they ran all running plays up the gut and did not bother to use any of their 3 TOs. So Reid calls a TO on 3rd and medium, and that apparently changed the Patriots' minds. Dumb decision to ever give Brady the chance to score more points before a half. Reid's clock management has been an issue his whole coaching career, and it looks as if he has learned nothing.

We got greedy. Brady made us pay. Once again Reid gets outcoached when it matters most.
