Yeah... I'm not sure where that comes from. I've always done extreme sports, but I've never gone big like he does, naturally. I think it's a result of:
1) Youtube and watching pro riders constantly. 2) Our really good progressive trail system that lets riders start small and build up. He started getting into drops like 3 weeks ago, and each weekend we'd go hit a bigger drop and session it. Three weeks later, and he's hitting one of the biggest drops in our area. 3) Confidence in his skills and comfort on the bike.

Found out this week I got accepted into the Dirty Kanza. I am prepping my body for 200 miles of "pure fun" around the Emporia area in the Flint Hills.

I was out for a run a couple of weeks ago, and I saw two people ride by on these:
I may have found my next hobby. My runs are getting harder, and at some point I'll have to retire from running. But I want to put a trailer on one of these gorgeous creatures and do a long-distance bike ride.

Visibility and width would be my two worries. But this sure looks a lot more comfortable than a standard bike if a person wanted to do a road trip. I've never been a biker, but I'm quite intrigued.

I see at least 2 recumbent bikes every race I do. I am afraid to get run over as low as they sit. Definitely a safety flag is required.

A friend of mine biked from Oregon to Arkansas on a recumbent, and he normally rides "regular" bikes. For that trip, though, he felt a recumbent was better.

Explain why you would want to ride 200 miles with 1100, selected, people, riding secluded Kansas rural gravel roads and trails? Why as a group would you pay the $242K to the promoter to do so?
They offer a 3 day training camp in Emporia for an addl $1665 A training session in March held in SC only cost $4300 (do)- $6300 per person or maybe Tuscany for a few thousand more. Doesn't this look like fun and this was the winner!!!! I would call this one a nope Quote:
