The main difference between KC and St. Louis is the metro area.
St. Louis the city is relatively small and operates as its own government(which is dumb). This causes the city to face logistical issues with regards to funding for development and expansion. St. Louis county is a bunch of different municipalities and has a second downtown/business district in Clayton. Edited to add: That’s not to say some parts of the City aren’t cool. Soulard, Dogtown, Central West End, Washington Avenue, The Hill are cool places. |
