The only thing the media loves more than to take out their pitchforks, is to write a redemption story.

We were fools to let Kareem Hunt walk and we would be fools to let Tyreek Hill go as well. That doesn't mean he has to play for us, just make sure he doesn't go play for anybody else.

Why should we be punished and somebody else be the beneficiary of stupid actions by our star players?

I agree 100%. Belichick would love to have Tyreek as a guy with a ton of baggage performing at a very high level on a cheap contract, let's say $5-10m per year instead of $20m at the top of the receiver market.

It's very possible the District Attorney and court system will take care of this issue for the Chiefs. If Tyreek is charged and convicted, no other team in the NFL is going to take advantage of the Chiefs dropping him. So Chiefs should wait for the legal process to play out. Keep him suspended indefinitely until we have a final decision from the DA and courts.

If she made this tape as some sort of doomsday weapon to hold over his head, she should have made damn sure whoever she gave it to wouldn't share it with the media. That's the thing about doomsday weapons - they destroy EVERYTHING.

If the girlfriend did not already have a deal in place to protect herself from prosecution, I think this audio leak is very damaging for her.

"I rode for you" sure sounds like "I lied for you" with the prosecutors and CPS investigators. That's Obstruction of Justice at bare minimum and possibly an accomplice in the child abuse itself, if the prosecutors are confident enough to go that direction.

I think both of them should probably go to prison for a long time. If she was pretty confident that Tyreek was guilty and she lied to investigators, then she is guilty of Obstruction and you could call her an accomplice in the abuse of the child. Tyreek is likely guilty of the actual abuse of the child, Obstruction if he lied to investigators, and threatening to harm or kill the girlfriend in this audio recording.

In any event I think she damaged herself in that audio recording. Sure as hell sounds like she lied to the investigators. That's gonna be a tough one for her to deal with now that the case is re-opened and investigators will be asking further questions.

I would have put the copy in a safe deposit box in the bank with either a most trusted family member like a mom to have access to it with strict directions not to even open it unless my life is in obvious danger or God forbid I am deceased.

I would have a letter along with the copy to have instructions to carry out to make it all legal.

His salary is pretty low by NFL standards, but I agree with you. She should have dumped him when he beat her the first time. Battered wife syndrome is a real thing though. Too many times they stay in the abusive relationship.
