NBA has lower revenues that MLB and their avg reg season broadcast drew a pathetic 1.28m viewers. MLB avg broadcast (there are endless games as you know) on the same ESPN platform was 1.1m.

I’d say the Pacers. They are closer to compare to the Chiefs. Almost always good, but always disappointing you in the end. Made it to the playoffs without any star power this year.

I’ve tried to care I really have. Used to like the Jazz when they had a couple Jayhawks and Stockton and Malone but it didn’t last. Even lived 90 miles from Milwaukee and couldn’t get attached. I’m like the adopted kid with abandonment issues. Not sure I’ll ever root for any particular team. Honestly just glad NBA and NHL is over.

Prolly find a player you like then root for that team.
I’ll admit it. I was straight rooting for Van Vleet. I understand it was a hot streak and probably not going to happen again, but I was rooting for the dude. Philly is interesting because I loved watching Embiid work at KU. And he’s pretty damned hilarious whenever he talks. |

The last time I watched the NBA, there was no such team as the Memphis Grizzlies. Assuming that's a real team, I think you ought to go with them.

Actually, a great call. If they can get Zion and RJ (or something like that), they're going to be fun to watch.

If not the OKC Thunder the Memphis Grizz would be good, or the Bulls.

If you want to increase your chances of rooting for a team that might win it all, I would go with a big market team. Sure, occasionally a Toronto or Cleveland will win it all. But a more likely scenario is a Durant leaving OKC to get a title with a big market team.
Chicago might be your best long term bet given your restrictions. |

Forget finding a team. The NBA is all about the individual. Find a player or two you like and root for him/ them regardless of where they play. That's what I have always done. I've cheered for Steve Nash, Carmelo Anthony, steph curry (admittedly not until after he blew up).

Watch a bunch of games and find a team you like watching. Don't be averse to rooting for a bad team then you can enjoy it more when they make it to the top.
