I do think it's important to point out that a lot of the trash that you see in your yard or on the side of the road might not be from people littering per se. A lot is, sure, but I often see stuff flying out of truck beds or (in my neighborhood) getting blown out of trash cans that don't have their lids securely fastened.

So even if you aren't a "litterer" necessarily, be sure to secure stuff so it doesn't blow away!

We must live in the same neighborhood. I have multiple neighbors who either buy trash cans without lids or don’t believe in using them. Then they wonder why the raccoons toss their trash cans on a regular basis. Putting trash cans out without a lid should be a fine from the city.

This is definitely true. Sometimes it’s unavoidable, especially on the highway, but there are times when I see people filling their trash cans with loose items way beyond what you should expect the trash arm to keep secured.

Nope. I might dump out a drink that's been sitting in the truck for a day but then I throw the bottle away when I get home or stop somewhere.

Another thing that pisses me off is all the people who cant seem to walk 18 feet to put their ****ing shopping cart in the rack.

Except some stores lots are so huge and they have hardly any cart racks in the lot to justify walking far, when you could put it on a meridian out of the way.

Not sure what kind of ****ing airport sized stores you find yourself visiting but I havent seen a store that does not have a cart rack within a 30 second round trip from any given parking spot. But that wont stop people from finding the nearest light pole, empty parking spot, or handicap loading zone to stash their cart.
