So to be clear, I never said it was. Other yahoos may have but I did not.

I don't overreact. We had a handful of games last year in which we looked far worse.

It remains to be seen if last year's team was better.

Winning a championship determines that.

You have to take advantage of their lack of speed in the front 7. They are physical but slow. The slowest front 7 in the NFL by a good margin. Running backs on linebacker, tight ends on linebacker, misdirection. Baltimore runs some many 3 tight end sets it's naturally what they do. They only threw a couple of balls to receivers last night the rest were to tight ends and backs covered by LBs. The option style run game inherently takes advantage of Belichik's lack of lateral speed in the front 7.

Andy Reid had a couple of good plays matching the back on their linebackers but he's gonna need to do a lot more of that.

Ugh. Ugly loss. Hopefully they learn from it. The Ravens brought their A game and the Patriots definitely did not.

The tie-breaker advantage Baltimore gets could prove significant. We'll see who ends up with HFA at the end of it all.

Glad the Patriots at least played with some pride and mental toughness. Down 17-0 early on the road they could've folded, but they didn't do that. It was very much a game until Edelman's fumble and return for a TD. At that point the hole was too deep to crawl out of.

I hadn't seen much of Jackson before last night, just some highlights. The next 10 years there's gonna be some hella crazy games with Mahomes, Watson and Jackson.

On offense, so far, absolutely yes. Special teams perhaps too due to the loss of Gostkowski.

Defense is unknown. It's ONE game for chrissakes. This year's could be better than last year's.

Only time will tell how all this stuff shakes out. I was actually pleased with the offense last night for the most part -- it was better in many ways than what we saw in prior weeks. Seems to be trending in the right direction anyway.

Still 7 games left, plus a bye week, for them to improve. Or not. We'll see.
