For example in 2009 the Jets were caught tampering with kicking balls, employees were fired and no one cared. In fact, one cannot really find a contemporaneous article on the matter. It was well below the radar.

In 2014 Brady was accused of tampering game balls and we has a nationwide event that went on for a long time.

Same crime widely different followings and opinions.

I did not bother getting into the T Hill case as all the facts were not out yet. But folks that did not like KC went off against Hill saying he should be suspended. A good number of fans went off on Hill and KC, so of which were just bias and went beyond what the facts justified.

This is my point.

Again, i am going to be really interested to see how all this plays out, plus or minus against the Pats
Because this is a pattern of cheating. It is not a one off incident. Lots of teams have been caught cheating. None with this regularity. No team has had coaches and players, including class acts like dungy and spagnuolo and McDermott, talk about extraordinary measures the team takes specifically for new England to guard against cheating.

It's like the Astros incident. The Red Sox and Yankees got caught using apple watches. Know why the Astros are getting all the attention even though they're a far more likeable team? Because there's a pattern. There's an extraordinary effort to cheat in the biggest possible way.

In fact, can we just change the programming for the board so that when someone types Pats or Patriots, it automatically shows up as ‘Cheaters’? Kind of like some of our other ‘replacement’ words.

Mods: Can we make this happen???
MODS . . . . . . . . . is this doable??

Illegal is illegal, there's no "yeah I broke the rules but I did it for the right reasons". Especially when you've been known to do the same exact thing for the wrong reasons
Let me address my point using your analogy.

I want to buy the next Sony 70 inch TV and i want to see how it looks with sports.

I break into your house (without damaging the lock), go in and turn on your TV and put on ESPN, NFLN and a few others, watch for 20 minutes, then leave with leaving everything as i saw it when I went into your house.

Now have i committed a crime, yes . . . breaking & entering, and trespass.

But really have i committed a crime? Well not really. Not in this particular action.

This is my point.

Again, we are all interested in the facts, and we can have a nice discussion if we get all of the facts.

I understand 100% your point about pattern of cheating. At same time though there are other teams that do just as much as the pats if not more.

The Jets again

1) After the 2006 taping memo came out, the Jets were caught taping Pats coaches in the fall of 2006.
2) 2009 Ball tampering
3) 2010 Coaches lined up on sideline and one guy stuck out a knee tripping and injuring Miami gunner on a punt
4) 2014 Jets (albeit weakly) tampered with Revis.

So with the jets we have taping signals, tampering will balls, tampering with players and coaches interrupting play on the field.

That is a "pattern" just like the Pats, but do people care about the Jets . . no.

This is my point. I agree 100% were you are coming from regarding folks being upset when there is a pattern, no argument. I am just saying the anger is also raised by who is doing the pattern of conduct.

It is too bad that the person taped the sidelines and too bad the Pats did not have a better lock down on this stuff.

One issue with PatsFans is its so slow on certain mobile devices.. I am on mobile right now and can barely login/post. I am on here and its quick/easy.

Also, I am no amateur when it comes to moderating or even running a website/service so I think my opinion has validity. I love PatsFans, but wish it ran as fast as this website does

I do not know what the issue is, but there are like a 1000 pop ups. I like PatsFans too but can not really deal with the goggyness

Patriot Planet is fun, but i get redirected sometimes which can be frustrating.

I have no problem with CP though.

If the Jets were any good they might be in the conversation. If Jets fans, rather than own their mistakes, went on a tirade about how the NFL was being unfair to them then they'd be in the conversation. But they're not and they don't. That's why nobody talks about them. Which adds a 3rd factor... The Patriots and their fans could accept this for what it was. Clear cut cheating. I said before... if Kraft, Hoodie, Brady addressed Deflategate and said "we did it, we're sorry"... The NFL and the critics would have shrugged it off. But instead they played the victim card and played the public for stupid with these bullshit comments about deflator being some fat guy. And their fans doubled down on these excuses. And it's happening again. The NFL isn't targeting the Pats. They got caught cheating. Own it, be accountable, and sincerely make steps to change. We all know damn well that ain't happening.

Here is my honest opinion and I say this with 100% honesty:

I don't know if we cheated. I am a fan and obviously wasn't in the room. I can understand our fans defending them because I think every fanbase defends their team usually no matter what happens. For me, I prefer staying neutral because I realize even though NE is my team... I am sure Brady and Belichick does wrong because they are human and not gods.

As I stated before, if Belichick cheated here I am 100% supportive of a suspension. If the tape shows signals are being recorded, that's it. Period. Also, I hate these scandals because we should be talking about our potential rematch come playoffs.. but dumbass Kraft Productions were stupid and made us cover stories again.
