No thanks. I just rather not be outdoors when the weather is shitty. And judging by the empty seats in the stadiums there are a lot of other people who feel the same. It shouldn't be like that for a Mahomes led Superbowl contending team.

Sorry, but that's not shitty weather... if your feet were frozen in what was literally above freezing temps, you weren't dressed properly. And there are plenty of other reasons for people not to show up to that game, like the holidays and it being a seemingly unimportant game (given no one thought the Patriots would lose). When the games really matter, people show up and people are loud regardless of the weather... see last year's playoffs. Weather being an equalizer to a high scoring offense is really the only argument that carries any weight... yet, they scored 31 in each of their playoff game last year, and it certainly didn't slow down the Patriots. |

And I don't think the holiday excuse doesn't flies. If it's one thing that families do together around the holidays, it's watch sports. |

Families who come together for the holidays to watch sports are going to buy several tickets to one of the least family friendly events in the city from a cost perspective and a kid perspective? Or... say a couple has season tickets, they're going to tell the 5 people staying with them to buy tickets instead of just watching at home?

I used to have bad winter boots as well. I upgraded and cold feet are no longer a problem.

Most families can’t afford for everyone (everyone being all who are in town for the holidays) to go to a game all together, not with the cost of these events today. Watching sports together as a family typically means tv time. Weather has little to do with it.

Technology is too good now. You don’t have to worry about weather, close up replay, parking or any finances watching in your own house. That’s what’s stupid about the “90’s Arrowhead was better than today’s” crap. Of course it was. They didn’t have shit for TV compared to today.

I think the only solution is for you to just stay away from Arrowhead and let real fans take your seats.

But like I said before a Mahomes game with playoff implications shouldn't have the empty seats this one did or the broncos one did. I don't know how you can disagree with that. |

Home attendance at Arrowhead this year is #6 in the NFL. If you want to look at it as percent full, it's right at league average. And who has a shit ton of empty seats? Dallas. A dome in what is probably the league's biggest football markets.

Come on most people thought NE would take care of their end of business and we were really just playing for the 3 spot. Right or wrong the fans today are not the same as the fans of old. Sixty dollar parking and sky high ticket prices and concessions have pushed the average working joe out and a more affluent crowd in. They tend to be more reserved and easily justify burning four season tickets for the comfort of home.

Can you fathom a world where people might save their money for the real thing, against a team that hasn't lost twice as many games as they've won.... and not "they might be playing a different team in the playoffs"? FFS, it was 40 degrees..... get some heated socks or foot warmers or a decent pair of boots and a couple layers of socks.... no one is skipping out on a football game solely because it's 40 degrees. |
