Ravens fans are scared

Best case scenario is that KC is knocked out before they get to us IMO. I’d love for them to go to New England and play a close physical emotional game that ends in an L

You can see the headlines now. The Chiefs are the ONLY team that Lamar has faced in his career that he has never beaten. MVP 2019 vs MVP 2018. Add in this new Suggs wrinkle too.
I don't know man. The Chiefs scare the hell out of me, but it would be really sweet for that to be the win that puts us over the top.

He [Reid] has struggled to get over the hump in the playoffs but he also has notoriously owned Harbaugh in the mentor vs. mentee match up.

I would say without a doubt KC is the #1 problem the Ravens could face. Even though we are re-tooled defensively since we first played them, the Chiefs have changed too. I really don't like this matchup for us to be honest. I hope to God I am wrong.

My biggest concern is health.

If we are relatively healthy, we beat anyone, anywhere.

This.

It’s why I can’t get over having to play an extra game. Not to mention not resting our starters in week 17.

Fingers crossed.

I really think the fact that we had so many injuries earlier in the year really helps us now. Young guys like Saunders, and Fenton getting a lot of playing time have really helped us have experienced depth at this point.

The offense just seemed to find its rhythm again over the past few weeks. I don’t think it would be wise to chance getting rusty again.

Plus, they still have a shot at the 2. I don’t care about the odds; you play them.

Maybe a team will hire the ravens oc and send that team into a downward spiral of dysfunction

The NFL’s rules allow for assistant coaches on playoff teams with byes to interview during the first week of the postseason and it’s not unusual to hear someone opine that the process should be put on hold until all teams are done playing.

Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman interviewed for the Browns’ head coaching vacancy on Thursday, which meant Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson got asked about the development during a session with reporters on Friday.

They need to chill out,” Jackson said, via the Baltimore Sun. “We got something to do right now. We need him to focus because we need to focus. We’re trying to get somewhere. Let us do our thing. You guys are going to have y’all turn when season is over with. We’re trying to get somewhere.”

In the video of Jackson’s response, it’s clear that his tongue was in his cheek during that answer and the one he gave when asked if he’s shared that opinion with Roman.

“No, he should know that,” Jackson said.

There have been many assistants who have done their jobs well during postseasons that ended with them taking head coaching positions with other clubs. There’s no reason to think Roman couldn’t do the same for the AFC’s top seed in the coming weeks and Jackson’s joking answer makes it clear he doesn’t disagree with that point.

What a selfish douche bag. If he has this opinion then this mother****er needs to give the ravens a huge discount when it's time for him to resign.

Ravens strength on offense is the running game. Best in NFL history, I think. Chiefs weakness on defense is stopping the run.

Ravens strength on defense is their secondary. The talent they have assembled is incredible. They blitz more than any other team to help with coverage. Because their running game is so good, the defense is rested. The Chiefs strength on offense is the passing game.

The game is on the road. The Ravens have a very strong record at home.

The Ravens will be favored if they get to the championship game.

If the Chiefs defeat the Ravens, it will be an upset.

It would be the greatest victory in team history save the Super Bowl. It would be a credit to Hunt, Veach, Reid, Spags, and of course, Mahomes.

I hope we play the Ravens for that reason. Given the injuries the Chiefs have endured, the difficult schedule, the remade defense-- it would be a stamp of excellence and a statement to the league that the Chiefs/Reid/Mahomes have taken the baton from the Patriots/Belichick/Brady.

I don’t see the matchups being that far in the Ravens favor.

The Chiefs are deadly against the blitz when Mahomes is healthy, and the Ravens can’t get pressure consistently without blitzing. That negates a big part of the Ravens’ defensive success. Peters helps them, but the Chiefs also have Hill, Suggs, a healthy Fisher, and a healthy Williams. Bigger adds on KC’s side, IMO.

The Ravens will get their yards running, but the Chiefs run D has improved a great deal, especially recently, and hasn’t been letting teams just run down the field and gouge them.

And then there are the play styles. The Chiefs O is efficient and can quick strike or go on more time-consuming drives. They have the ability to jump out to one of those two scores leads that changes what the Ravens want to do.

I also like Spagnuolo’s ability to mix things up and confuse Jackson when they get Baltimore in 3rd and md or longer.
