They just broke the play down on the NFL Channel. Pretty basic play but 2 things made it happen...

1. Speedy WR in Reek

2. QB who can drop back 14 yards and sling it 40 yards down field without stepping into it while getting hit

Also helped that 49ers were in cover 3 and stupidly abandoned the deep third.

I saw a video where it was explained that the defense was a cover 3 match, meaning the db is supposed to slip into man if his guy leaves his zone and no one else enters it. The thing that bit SF is that Hill broke back outside 40 yards down field. Hill - Mahomes might be the only combo in the NFL that can pull that off.
