I should add that he also said the Titans would beat us so maybe we should be happy right now?!! .

I'm not bothered about media talking heads picking the Niners if they want, but this guy just seems utterly ignorant. Didn't we have a better scoring defense than the Niners in the regular season If I'm not mistaken? Haven't we faced and BEATEN three of the best running teams already In the Ravens, Titans and the Vikings? And who have they beaten exactly?

Green Bay twice
Seattle once
Vikings

We have beaten

Ravens
Patriots
Vikings
Houston
Titans

When you look at the facts we've beaten more playoff teams and had way more challenges having to deal with good defenses, good offenses and both young and experienced QB's who were either decent pocket passers or could cause issues outside the pocket with their legs. We played tough running games and also teams who had great pass catchers aswell...so we've seen it all really.

Are the Niners any scarier than the Ravens? I don't think so and the records back that up. But who have the Niners played that were anything like the Chiefs? Not a single team imo.

The chiefs scored 117 pts in their 3 playoff games. 58 of those came in the second half.

This game is a game of quarters. You the first half was a virtual wash. Game calling was suspect on the chiefs last first half drive. 3rd qtr was the 9ers. 4th qtr was the chiefs.

Yep, Cowherd made a good point on that. Warriors would be down 12 and in the blink of an eye, they lead a game by 7. How did that happen? Chiefs offense is just like that, especially when they get help from KC defense forcing quick punts by the opponent.

I agree. The chiefs go on runs. And usually when they hit on one of those runs, they become insurmountable for the opposing team. I think that's in part why shanarat jr opted to pass the ball instead of running it in the 4th. They could sense the momentum turning on the field. I even felt like we would score every time we had the ball in the 4th. The defense just needed to get off the field. And they did

When we were down 3, SF needed a TD. A field goal was going to lose them the game. Everyone knew it. The only chance they had to win the game was to score a TD.

They couldn’t just run out the clock with having almost 6 minutes left and KC having 3 timeouts.

SF needed a TD to win the Super Bowl. They needed to be aggressive. I don’t blame them at all.

Dilfer lives in constant jealousy knowing he never had a fraction of Patrick's talent. It's made him a bitter person. Just like Bradshaw and Aikman. These guys couldn't win without elite running games and defenses, and so they actively root against quarterbacks that can. They know Mahomes makes them look like inferior players. And that's exactly what they are.

Possibly the case. Falcons and Rams both seemed loaded with talent and both of them took a big step back after losing the Super Bowl in ugly fashion. But guess we will see. I think Niners might have a better chance to bounce back.
