We need a simple three-question test to ward off bandwagon fans.

We know what's going to happen. A bunch of 'patriots fans' and 'broncos fans' and 'packers fans' and 'steelers fans' are going to start buying Chiefs stuff and pretending that they're one of us. We need a way to identify these people quickly. I propose that we develop a standard three-question test that we administer to determine whether we're dealing with an actual Chiefs fan versus a bandwagon fake fan.

The questions need to be questions that a person of any age can answer, so they probably shouldn't be about obscure events of the far past. And they need to be questions that a somewhat casual Chiefs fan could answer even if they're not a hardcore fan like us.

I propose the following. Let me know if you can answer them, and whether you're a legitimate fan or a bandwagon fan. We can adjust the questions if they're too easy or too hard. You can also propose alternatives.

My three proposed questions are:

1. Name at least two Chiefs players who died during their playing career.

2. In the final 2017 preseason game against the Titans, Patrick Mahomes II completed three long passes to this receiver, including an epic rollout that many believe to be his formal unveiling. Who was the receiver?

3. What two teams did Joe Montana's Chiefs defeat in the 1993 playoffs?

I feel that any legitimate Chiefs fan will know the answer to these questions, though I wonder if Q2 is a little too difficult. Thoughts?

My plan is that any time a person comes up to you and starts talking Chiefs, you administer this quiz to determine if they're worthy of your time or not.

****. Right. Off.

I'm a pretty damn new fan (I came in when Alex was checkin down). I been watchin y'all for a few years. You seemed pretty miserable about everything, even when Andy was winning games, and that's understandable considering the history. But you're superbowl champs now, so learn to embrace what comes along with that.

If you're truly hellbent on remaining a sad miserable loser, I'd recommend becoming a Lions or Browns fan. You'll never have to worry about those pesky bandwagoners. **** this thread, seriously.

Why wouldn't we want fans to jump on the bandwagon? The more the better! Bring them on!

Hell, that is what I did 50 years ago after they won SB IV and have been on it since.

I don't own any more of the team than the newest of n00bs, they are all welcome IMO.

I remember being upset at having to go to Buffalo for that game. If Marty had gone for and made the TD on the 1 yard line instead of kicking a fg against the Bears that season, the game would have been at KC. The Bears marched down and scored the winning TD.

The dead guys are Stone Johnson, Mack Lee Hill, Delaney, DT, Belcher.
Pre-season game I think was Robinson because the starters were out in pre-season.
Steelers and Houston Oilers on Montana.

1. Which Chiefs WR caught the most TDs in 2014

2. Prior to Patrick Mahomes, who scored the first TD in Andy Reid's only play-off victory with the Chiefs?

3. Name all four former 49er QBs that played for KC...

Bonus

4. Who is the only other Chiefs QB to win NFL MVP....

5.Who are the two best players that KC acquired/lost to the Saints.

6. What year did the Chiefs beat both SB teams but fail to make the play-offs?

Who holds the 29th spot for most completions to Chiefs?

With 39 interceptions Phillip's Rivers has completed passes to Chiefs players and holds the 29th spot.

Who was nick named the Nigerian Nightmare?

What do Joe Montana, Steve Bono, Elvis Grabac, Alex Smith, Steve Deberg all have in common?

Ask something like 'Remember that MNF game against the broncos when Montana threw that 4th quarter interception and lost the game for us?'.
Or 'That sucked when J. Charles signed with the faiders didn't it?'.

Perfect, if they know it and answer it- they are not true fans.

If they don't- they are bandwagon fans.

Two birds, one stone.
