Yeah it’d be someone moving up for a QB.

Maybe a team like Indy moves up to 32 to secure Jordan Love and the 5th year option. That’s the type of trade I think you could envision.

Yep. Have you seen the pictures of him surrounded by papers and folders?

The guy looks like a GM from the 60's.

It reminds of the old story about Elijah Pitts being drafted by the Packers in the 1960's.

"Did we just take Elijah Pitts from Philander Smith College or Philander Smith from Elijah Pitts College?".

Patrick Queens knocks are basically he doesn't have a ton of playing experience, where Murray played and started like 30 games Queen I believe started 9 games.

Also Queen is very fast and fluid and his cover ability is DB esq, he's not a physical player, he will go under/around blockers and isn't a real great run defender because of it.

Most people think Murray slots into any scheme in 3-4 up the middle and any spot in a 4-3, where Queen is basically a 4-3 will and that's it.

Ha yes, the pic of him and Telesco side by side is telling.

I've said all along that one of the upper 2nd round teams might move up to #32 to take a QB like Eason - maybe Detroit or Washington - but not because of the 5th year option but because they have questions about their current QB.

I don't know what teams see in Love as a 1st rounder but it sure seems like some team will "fall in love with him" in the first round.

This would be great for the Chiefs, going from a weak-armed QB with poor decision making to a strong-armed QB with weak decision making.

The Raiders may never need to punt against the Chiefs with him as the starter.

This idea that you can take a guy who is very talented and coach him up is prevalent in todays league.

The higher the better! Hopefully some team is dumb enough to take Eason or Hurts too. 5 QB’s in the 1st would be huge for us, though unlikely.

I think the Chargers are going to go OT in the first and Hurts in the second.

He's a little light.

I think some evaluators see him more as supercharged Will backer than a true Mike. And I agree that he can't play the middle at 230. I think he plays a little more aggressively than his weight and if he can get to 235-240 while maintaining his athleticism, he'll be a perfect Mike.

Then again, Murray and Gay are already similar athletes to Queen and ARE in the 240 range. But Murray plays tentatively a little more often and Gay has his off-field issues.

I honestly can't decide why I like Queen more than Murray at this point. I think it's consistency but it's not as though I've seen every one of their snaps. My perception is that Queen plays hotter snap to snap, but that may not be fair at all.

I still think this is an underrated LBer group. Malik Harrison looks a lot like Fred Warner to me. Gay may be the best of the whole damn lot. Many of us have been fans of Zach Brown for a bit and Jordan Brooks has that kind of potential (good 2 down backer who can survive, though probably not thrive, on 3rd downs). Troy Dye might be the sort of player we hoped DoD would be as a genuine starter at the Will in a year. Baun could be a 6-8 year starter at the Sam spot and likely play all 3 downs (still others like him in the Will, though I think he's more physically/athletically suited to be a high-end Sam). Even a couple small-school guys with talent like Davis-Gaither and Wilson.

I think folks are sleeping on the off-ball 'backers in this class. This could be a really good one.

There are legitimately 5-6 LBs in this class that I’d be happy with.

Yeah, toughest part of it is knowing when to pull the trigger.

Let's say you take Queen/Murray in the 1st, leaving someone like Epenesa or Delpit on the board, then it turns out Gay or even Brooks is there in the 3rd....well you've kinda screwed that up then, haven't you?

That'll be the toughest part to navigate - how best to 'game' the draft to fill the most needs at the highest levels.
