Now, if Zaun tested for THC, I wouldn't change his status but PED's usage?

There's no way I'd take him at #32 because you just don't know what you're getting.
Why do you think none of the other names are being leaked?

I mean you can take this stance and I understand it, but I don’t believe in coincidences and this is a very strange one that immediately made sense to me when explained.

The changes to the combine were already awful, and now a great character guy with a high football IQ and great film is being knocked probably just because he was unlucky enough to be the first (and one of the only two) that leaked.

I mean there are absolutely a lot of guys that haven’t been named. They could be anybody else you’d have in mind. So what’s the point in knocking Baun for it only?

It’s a very strange occurrence until you hear that reasoning. Now it makes sense. Especially when you include the fact that NFL teams are reportedly not concerned and it’s not supposed to affect his draft status. If teams are buying their excuse, why shouldn’t we?
Bc this year is different. We can’t meet with these guys face-to-face and have our own staff check them out for a physical.

I think Daniel Jeremiah is spot on when he said teams will be extra cautious this year by picking the cleanest prospects on their board.

Apparently you completely missed “if teams are buying their excuse”? This makes no sense.

Absolutely nobody is concerned with Baun’s character. You can take that to the bank.

That’s literally the only thing that he’s done to get knocked and could easily be explained away. It’s different if the guy already had pre-existing concerns, but that isn’t the case here.

A diluted sample puts a chink in that armor, at least IMO

Oh, I'd knock them down, too.

While the press hasn't released the names of the guys that test positive at the Combine (which in and of itself is a mini IQ test), it's a certainty that all NFL front offices know the identity of those other players.

Yea and they aren’t being leaked because the NFL knows they ****ed up.

"Zack was genuinely confused, upset and embarrassed by the results given the fact that the 'dilute' was the result of him drinking significant amounts of water before his weigh-in (the urine test occurred immediately thereafter)," the letter read. "Zack would welcome the opportunity to speak with any of you about this directly at your convenience...in fact, he'd be excited to do so."

A diluted sample due to overconsumption of water can be used to mask other banned substances that could be traced in a urine sample. Under the old collective bargaining agreement, a diluted sample would have triggered a failed test, but that is no longer the case in the new CBA.
Yeah not buying this. An undersized LB drinking heavy amounts of water before the testing? Does he think everybody is stupid enough to think he and every other combine participant didn’t get the schedule beforehand?

You realize that he’s far from the only one that’s saying this, right?

This is the same excuse they’re all giving because it’s probably the truth.

The changes to the combine clearly caused this phenomenon.

What makes more sense? This draft has WAY more idiots than all the ones before it, or the year they made these changes it caused something unique like this to occur?

This is pure unadulterated speculation.

You haven't spoken to a single coach, scout, GM, or agent, let alone, have all of their personal information and interviewed them.

Doesn’t matter if they are in the wrong or not. It’s the uncertainty. A smart GM isn’t going to take a risk like that in the first rd.

Too much risk, especially this year

No, it’s making connections based on the information we have.

There are multiple people reporting that NFL teams aren’t concerned and it won’t impact his draft status. What else is there to go by?
