My memory isn't all it used to be, but I vaguely remember quotes from Mahomes' reps saying that they had talked to the Chiefs for like 90 straight days, yet also said KC did a great job disguising their interest.

I think we're all going to be surprised tomorrow night, assuming they actually pick and don't trade back.

And yea I fully expect to be surprised tomorrow night. Not just by the Chiefs either. Half of the 1st round.
