I've been saying that they should tie his salary to a % of the cap. That way he's always the highest paid QB in case QB salaries rocket up in the new CBA or in 2-3 years the NFL goes full exception for the QB salary.
But, if shit happens and the cap goes down for whatever reason, he still gets last years higher salary guaranteed. Like the common consensus, I agree, both parties are waiting until the new TV deals are done.
