Let's Rank Our Top 3 Regular Season Games

Hey, ya'll. I'm proctoring students taking tests remotely today and it's about as exhilarating as it sounds. During my lunch break I saw a tweet from Chiefs posting the "Sights and Sounds" from the Chiefs win against the Vikings this year. When I watched this, I realized I forgot just how good of a game this was. Not only that, we were starting Matt Moore, expectations before the game were low, and little did we know, but the game would be the difference between a first round bye and a WC matchup against the Titans (Likely making our road Titans, @Patriots, @Ravens).

This game was stellar. Matt Moore was ****ing nails and his two deepballs to Tyreek were beyond anything we could have expected from back-up QB (and a high school coach at the beginning of the season). Damien Williams pulled off his most impressive run in a Chiefs uniform (an 85 yard run where he put a disgusting juke on a Vikings defender to hit paydirt), though, it's mostly remembered for Tyreek catching him like an Olympian. That run completely shifted the momentum in the game. The Chiefs D also came up with two critical 4th quarter stops (a prelude to the SB) and Buttkicker hit a 54 yarder like Stoyo once did in what was considered one of the best Chiefs wins of all time (before Mahomes) and hit a game winning 44 yarder at the end. Watching this again made me realize that I'd forgotten some of our amazing regular season wins this year and made me want to re-evaluate them.

So... what are your top 3 regular season wins this year (I included the losses in the poll. As some argue losing to the Titans was one of the best things we could have done this year because otherwise, Seattle claims Suggs over us and we may not win the SB without him).

Mine:

3. Week 14 @Patriots 23-16 W (God, did it feel good to finally get that off our backs)
Spoiler!

2. Week 9 Vikings 26-23 W (I just can't put a game without Mahomes as the top regular season game - with that said, Matt Moore is an unsung hero of the season)
Spoiler!

1. Week 3 Ravens 33-28 W (This win cemented the Chiefs as the top team in the AFC and puts Mahomes, Reid and the Chiefs as the presumptive AFC favorites over Lamar, Harbaugh and Baltimore imho).
Spoiler!

Why are people voting on the Ravens game?

The Chiefs dominated them. It took some lucky bullshit for them to be within 2 scores.

I voted Denver, Chicago games going into the playoffs. The Chief completely fisted those team, and they talk at the time was they should be good games with a possible upset. The Minnesota game was HUGE due to Mahomes being out and it paid out with homefield.

My take.
Week 3 vs Ravens. Yes we dominated and this is good.
Week 7 vs Broncos. With two losses in a row this was a must win game against a hated divisional rival
Week 9 vs Vikings. Total team effort and it was fun as hell seeing Midnight Hour Matty have a great game.

@Broncos
@Patriots
The whole team pulling together to take care of business at home against the Vikings

But I screwed up by brain farting on the Ravens game, so sub it in for the crushing we put on Denver, in Denver

I went

Week 1-Jags...We all knew the Chiefs were on a mission. It started there. Jags talk big. Bully. But never really get it done. We ruined them week 1. Red in Florida? Not a problem.

Week 9-Vikings...Mostly because I live in Minn. There were too many Vikes fans there-I chalk it up to that they wanted to see Mahomes live. He has fans here too. But alas-that did not happen. We should have won in Minnesota the last time. Fluke fumble. But we prevailed. Again-Cousins is no Matt Moore.

Week 11-Chargers (mexico) Phil always thinks he can win but 4 or 5 turnovers kills you. An interception to lose the game is the most Rivers way to lose.

It was a tough choice.

I went with the Minnesota game (Matt Money Moore came through big time for us in relief), the Patriots game (because anytime you beat TB it's a good game) and the Week 17 Chargers game (Kevin Harlan calling both games was fantastic!).

I have trouble with the details sometimes, so I haven't voted yet. Can we walk through the games and make the argument for why each game should or should not be in the top three?

I picked the Denver game because it's the first game in which I saw what the defense was going to be. I predicted some blow-outs incorrectly as I thought they were THERE, but they were still inconsistent for a few games after.

I picked the Vikings game because we won that mother****er with Matt ****ing Moore at the helm. It showed that while Mahomes is the best player in football, it ain't all him.

And the New England game, because it felt real good to stuff that right up Tommy's ass.

This, ton of Vikings fans there, and they were actually dicks and it was so fun to beat them with 6-7 starters out, including Mahomes...

The Ravens game was a good win but watching it annoyed me more than anything else. The Chiefs completely outplayed them, should have won that game easily and quite nearly gave it back at the end with conservative coaching.

I'd say the Patriots, Vikings and then the kicking the shit out of the Raiders in week 13 (who came into the game with some momentum and belief and had it completely beaten out of them as the Chiefs basically wrapped the division up).
