The Mob won't like the Chiefs in Vegas...

Read this interesting article on the Chiefs win yesterday costing the sports books MILLIONS in that one kick. To say the majority of the money was on the Chiefs was and understatement...

https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/i...oss-bookmakers

So my fear, being a Las Vegas native, is that when the Chiefs come to play the Felons in Las Vegas, the team should bring some extra security for our boys! The Mob does not like losing money!!!

Hey Vegas Dave I liked your thread to begin with and after this post I like it even better! Did you catch that thread yesterday about how the refs were trying to screw the chiefs...again? It was fantastic. Have you been to the DC forum? It's like Buckley vs Kinsley over there. You won't be able to keep up. Don't say I didn't warn you! Later Vegas Dave!

The Chargers arent good enough to beat the Chiefs...that wasn't the reason I expected them to lose. If you think politics dont play a role in NFL corporate and their billion dollar monopoly...we'll never agree.

Can you quit necro-posting...if I cared enough to take your past posts out of context, I could destroy you with your own words...I'm just not that bored...and I'm not 12 years old.

Your opinion doesn't matter to me...as mine shouldn't matter to you.

Carry on...

William Hill U.S. sportsbooks, said the Chiefs coming from behind to beat the Chargers caused a swing against the house of "several seven figures." Vegas was banking on a different outcome...obviously.

The refs did what they could...but Buttkicker made a record tying kick..three times. They did all they could to prevent KC from scoring at the end...if Mahomes wasn't an alien, Vegas would have cashed in. They had him in a 3rd and 20...

There was something definitely off yesterday....everybody noticed it. Chiefs haven't been hit with one-sided, ticky-tack officiating in a while.

Let's just say it wasn't supposed to play out like it did...I wonder if Reid "got a talking to"...he didn't seem in very good spirits today.

This is the "good old boys club"...and it's a monopoly. You play by their rules...

It was all part of the theater...and a built-in excuse for KC to lose.
Mahomes didn't get the memo! And when Reek told him about it in the 4th quarter they were pissed! Did you see the looks on their faces after the TD throw?

No, I generally stay out of that crap. Been on CP for 18 years, average about 100 total comments/posts a year, with less and less over the past several. Too many lil' ones running amok.

Man I miss the glory days of CP with the likes of Redrum_69

I had a teaser with...

Chiefs -2.5
Over 40.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Thanks Butker. The suspense was insane and I’m usually very relaxed.

Wow! Both of those numbers seemed so completely safe yesterday. Especially 40 points. And Chargers scored a TD on first drive which you would have thought would absolutely lock it in. Sports gambling is not for the feint of heart.

Wtf kind of spread were you given?

Unless you were betting on the money line, and putting up over double your money to receive X amount of dollars, you lost betting on Kc yesterday. Spread was -4 to -5 Kc favored

The article pretty much explains that the Sports books lost overall across all of the games and that the Chiefs game was particularly painful due to all of the teaser and parlays with the Chiefs moneyline.

From the article.

We actually lost on the game due to all the teaser liability built up on the Chiefs. We ended up needing the Chargers to win that game outright because the Chiefs were involved in so many teasers and money-line parlays."
