Where will EB end up at as a HC ?

EB is as good as gone this year for sure, so where will he end up? There is going to be several places at the end of the year, where do we not want him at and why?

Should we fear him?

Is EB as good as an OC as the media is throwing his name out there or is it Andy, or even Pat.

Discuss.

Maybe Andy would take a advisory position like Tom Coughlin and turn the reighns over to EB.

Why is everybody sold that Bienemy is head coach material? I don't see it.

The Jets have had how many top 5 picks?

Other than Ryan, who lasted 6 years, they haven't had a single coach for more than 5 years since 1989.

11 winning seasons since 1990, FIVE seasons with 10 wins or more.

Why the **** would anybody want to go to the Jets, even with Trevor Lawrence?

You're right. I've never seen a franchise turn their fortunes around with the right combination at QB/HC. That's just unheard of.

The Chiefs organization is completely different than the Jets. The Chiefs have had periods of success in the last 30 years, even without winning it all.

Places like Detroit and New York AFC are places where coaches go to die.

I'm hoping the Mahomes effect will keep him here. My worst case scenario is for Elway to get fired and replaced with Dorsey who then hires EB. RGR last night was saying EB is from Denver so has ties to that area.

Whatever Dorseys problems are he damn sure knows how to fill a team with talent

EB grew up in California.

As far as I know, his tie to the Denver area is that he's a legend at CU. He of course was already offered the CU job and turned it down.

Big longshot here, but....

Pete Carroll will be 70 next year. The oldest head coach in NFL history is George Halas at 73. We could see Carroll retire. Possibly... after this season?

Can you imagine a coach like EB in Seattle?

Who's going to fire Elway? The governor of Colorado? They have no owner.

And Dorsey isn't getting another job. You don't have to worry about that.

The Jets had as many playoff wins in 2009 and 2010 as the Chiefs had SINCE SUPER BOWL IV before Mahomes took over.

And that coach got fired 3 years later, maybe 4. Single playoff wins don't equate to job security.

I was refuting this.

Which was just blatantly untrue. We didn't do ****ing shit for damn near 50 years until Mahomes took over.

As for job security, the Chiefs have had 7 coaches over the last 30 years and the Jets have had 11. Belicheck and Groh both resigned and we traded for Herm, so they really don't seem to be that much different from us when it comes to firing coaches.

Marty won enough regular season games to get 10 years here. Andy is at 8.

The Jets haven't had a coach get 8 years since Weeb Ewbank in 1973.

It's not just about "winning" it's about stability. The Jets job isn't a good job. It hasn't been for a long, long time.
