Let’s talk about the Miami Dolphins

Headed down to a familiar location for the Florida heat and a highly formidable opponent.

The Dolphins have a great defense, a mediocre at best offense. Not all that different from Denver really, but coached better.

A win would clinch the AFCW for the 5th straight season, so there is some added importance. Of course we are on Pittsburgh’s heels, too.

I think we all aren’t totally sure what to make of the team at this point. They’ve been inconsistent in their focus, their execution. There seem to be problem areas that could be upgraded by simply plugging a backup in (hi, Wis), but it remains to be seen if any changes are going to be made.

It’s a weird league where outcomes are all over the place, winning is really damn hard, but they’re still 11-1 and largely look to be on cruise control half the time. I do think there’s something to be said for the GS Warriors comparison where sometimes they just don’t flip the switch until they have to. I guess we will see what happens as the games get bigger and bigger for this team.

This one won’t be easy, but if the offense comes out locked in from the go, it shouldn’t be a scare. I also think it’s another opportunity for the defense to perform well again, but I still feel like we need more from our pass rush along the DL moving forward.

Game is at noon on CBS...

Here's to hoping we keep it around a 10 point spread.

Good luck and this is by far one of the classiest forums compared to some other fanbases.
I'm a big believer in your future. Flores and Tua. I just think its just a bit early for you as you're ahead of schedule. Your offensive line needs more time together and Tua is just a bit slow on his reads, he'll get there.

I also think your defense is perfect scheme to frustrate one read QBs like Josh Allen, you'll beat Buffalo going forward.

Flores is a wizard. When Belichick copies stuff you're doing, you're got something.

I'm definitely excited for our future and where we are headed. Like you said, we are headed in the right directions, but still will not compete with the top teams, yet. Miami has finally starting building the right way and not just trying win " now " with high priced free agents. Flores, so far has been a godsend for us with all the terrible coaches we had in the past and I'm thankful we gifted Gase to the Jets.

I see an awful lot of hand-wringing from Chiefs fans here and elsewhere.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs were (1) realizing they should review a play and (2) a weak-ass holding penalty away from winning the game last night 36-16. Most teams lose games where they score two touchdowns fewer than they should have.

KC cruised to 22 points and easily could have put up more on its last drive had it needed them.

Yes, the red zone inefficiency was disappointing, but KC also was playing a team that does well in the red zone and made plays when it needed to (Harris batting down a sure TD pass, the DE flashing upfield to blow up the tricky double-reverse to Hill).

Regarding the Dolphins, it's a long road trip and a quality opponent. I could see Tua giving the Chiefs some trouble with his legs and also with how quickly he gets the ball out. Hopefully, Spagnuolo can do some things to confuse him and they can create a turnover or two from that.

The Chiefs' O will move the ball and put up points. It's just what it is.

Chiefs win. People will freak if it isn't a 3-score win.

This is the first time someone has actually responded to his antics in a little while. His bait is so blatantly obvious at this point it's more on the people that take him seriously now.

Yeah, if we don't tighten the screws we might see a repeat from last night. Remember what bellichick did. Bend don't break. Let us march down the field where we struggled in the red zone. The other thing bellichick did was harass the living daylights out of kelce. We need to find ways to get him involved.

The bad news is Tua is way better than Brian hoyer or Drew lock. The good news is he's been wildly inconsistent. And their running game doesn't scare anybody. So the D alone could cover us just enough to have a lukewarm offense performance.

I dunno, this upcoming game feels like the kind that the offense gets back it’s mojo by torching a good Dolphins defense. CEH will be back and I have a feeling he’s going to have a big game for us. On defense I think Spags harasses Tua and forces him to toss us a few.

He still plays? In all honesty your team is well coached and is exceeding expectations. The fact they are in the hunt for a playoff spot says a lot considering most thought they would be drafting Top 10 if not Top 5.
