And if you draft a guy this year who starts to outplay him, you just switch. And don't even have to feel bad about the $$ being relegated to the bench. Same with Allegretti.

I like the Green kid from Illinois as a developmental option in the draft.

Good thought, but i think we have enough depth at guard on this team. He is our starting Center entering Week 1.

Also agree we draft a center mid rounds to compete and take over in 2022.

Reiter is a goner. This signing took his place as the “good enough till we upgrade” center.

His best year in terms of PFF was in 2018 when he played RG, though...so it’s possibly that’s where he ends up if a rookie wins the starting center job and Long/LDT don’t cement themselves at RG.

No offense but the fact that a guy who was forced into retirement because of neck and ankle injuries and has played 30 games since 2015 is for some reason a leading the competition to start doesn't inspire much confidence. The fact that the guy he's mainly in competition with was an average player before taking a whole season off last year and has never in his career started a whole season inspires even less confidence.
