I don’t blame Reiter for trying to get that multi-year deal. This was like this only shot for it but oh well.

He’s still made $4 million after tax in his career. Not too bad but not enough to live off for the rest of your life

How's that not enough to live off of? It's like $100,000 year for 40 years. Not to mention that since he has the bulk of money at once, he can invest and make a ton of return on it.

I actually have that wrong. There’s his agents share of his salary, trainers share, money he’s already spent on living expenses and then money he’ll likely have to spend on his body in his post NFL career.

Not that much in the grand scheme of things.

Sure. Hopefully. Doubt it though. You don't go from being injured and ineffective for 5 straight years to healthy and great again just because you took a year off. Especially when one of the injuries was a neck injury.

Long is a pro bowler when healthy. He took a year off to train and get his body right.

It's merely a question of whether or not it worked.

If he's healthy, he's the best player on the line not named Thuney, regardless of position.

In that presser he looked more like a TE than a G. He looked much smaller than he did and that's not uncommon for retired lineman. Many of these guys have to try to keep that extra 30-40 lbs of weight on.

It just doesn't look like he kept up that eating/exercise routine like Dr. Tardif did...
