How you relaxing this Saturday morning?

Woke up, shit, showered and headed out early at 6:30am. Temps are high 60's.

Stopped at Circle K for a large decaf.

Shopped at Safeway for a nylon scrub brush, a mini bottle of Dawn and 3 gallons of water. (I'll explain this soon)

Headed out to Tom Thumb's Trailhead to smoke a PG 30 year anniversary cigar. Arrived to find a lot of people biking and hiking already.

Used the Safeway purchases to scrub clean a concrete table and benches along with the railing all full of bird droppings that hadn't been cleaned by the Parks Dept in 3 years. I'm here all the time and did my good deed for the day!

Popped open my cigar and began a nice 45-60 minute smoke of a great PG 30 year anniversary cigar with incredible scenery.

After that drove over to Troon North Golf Course for a Tito's bloody mary, breakfast sandwich with potatoes and finishing with a Guinness draft.

Off next to pick up my laundry. Then buy a bottle of Bailey's, a fruit salad and some cheese for my afternoon snack.

Then it's time for a nice nap.......

Just a nice relaxing morning.

How's your Saturday morning going?

Yeah, probably... it's easy enough to find and not crazy expensive, so I don't think much of it the few times I grab it for a mixer. And then I use 2-3 times as much EC as I would most other bourbons just so I know I'm having a drink, and tell myself to stop it.

Saturday morning was pretty relaxing. Nice and rainy, which I love on a weekend day. Then at 2:30, my 12 year old and I played in his team’s end of the season kids vs parents indoor soccer game. My God. I consider myself to be in at least average shape. I walk a few miles a day and play rec sports and such, but I had no idea what is was in for. Thankfully we could sub in and out every few minutes. 12 year olds never tire.

But the day ended with Joe’s BBQ and a good movie, so all in all, solid Saturday.

Yeah when my daughter turned 5 we had a bunch of kids from her class come to the school gym to have a party. My wife did a fantastic job of getting all these games set up and all this age appropriate fun stuff. Nonetheless all they wanted to do was chase the big guy. No game, no props, no fear of the big guy, no wanting to win some game, just get the big guy. No problem. I’m way faster than 5 year olds. Except they NEVER STOP. I’m sure all the parents were like WTF is going on here Buehler? When they showed up and their kids were draped all over me not wanting to leave.

I get it. Kids man.

Sitting on the porch since 7:40 enjoying my decaf coffee and a giant La Flor Dominica cigar, 8 x 60. Got 45 cigars delivered yesterday.

Damn sun is heating things up already. Going to 95° today and going to be 100° in a few days. Thank God for the community pool.

I could never live in that heat and could use a good cigar.

Finally found a flag football pickup game in KC. At Shawnee Mission North field which is field turf. It was so much fun to play in a game. Hadn’t played since my last weekend in AZ in late July. I probably had 10-15 years on everyone else playing but I held my own. I’m sure my body will remind me tomorrow morning of my actual age but it was so much fun!

Humidity below 50% today and 73°, so it's a perfect day to spray paint my wrought iron patio furniture. Humidity only 38% this afternoon and now only 36%. So I did that but ran out of paint. So will go to Lowe's with the so to pick up 7 more cans. I got the table done though. Sanded and degreased it last weekend. Sanded the lounge today.

Feels good to get it done, since I had it on the back burner for a year.

Went to gym at 5:30 this morning. Did some gardening afterwards. Played hot wheels with the toddler for an hour, had friends in the backyard to dye Easter eggs.

Finished up the early afternoon with another Royals win.

Great day!
