Why is Dan Sorensen playing so much?

Dan Sorenson has played in 97% of this teams defensive snaps. That is 2nd only to Sneed, who has 1 snap more than him.

Dumbasses may say, well he leads the team in tackles!

Well that means Jack and Shit if you don't know where he's making those tackles.

So, that's what I wanted to find out and it's exactly what anyone with a god damn brain already knew. He's making tackles well after the ball carrier has went past the line of scrimmage.

Dan Dan The Wait Until They Come To You Man has made 30 total tackles. The offense has gained 217 yards of offense on those 30 tackles good for 7.2 yards per play.

That's worse than the average yards per play this junk ass defense allows, which is 6.9.

His yards per play allowed breaks down to this

0 or less yards - 3 tackles (-9, -2, 0)
1 to 4 yards - 6 tackles (1, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4)
5 to 9 yards - 9 tackles (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 8, 8, 9, 9)
10 to 20 yards - 9 tackles (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15, 20, 20)
21 to 30 yards - 2 tackles (21, 21)
30 or more yards - 1 tackle (43)

The fact that he's leading in tackles also shows how shit everyone up front has been.

Bench this lame ass bitch

100% of the snaps. Are you ****ing kidding me? They're gonna run their god damn mouths about earning playing time and blah blah blah, but that god damn mother****er was solely responsible for allowing 2 TDs in the 1st half. It's time to fire Spags. It's embarrassing.

It's probably Big Red.

He seems to get hung up on certain players for seemingly unexplainable reasons.

I am fine with Sorenson playing coverage linebacker in dime and taking Nieman off the field.

I am not fine with Sorenson playing safety.

Just play Fenton there in our scheme and keep Sorenson away from those responsibilities.

Oh dear Lord.

I never said that anyone should blindly follow any coach/GM.

In fact, if you read any post of mine on any subject, I'm pretty much against that kind of zealotry.

What I said was that I'm pretty sure that the coaches are more knowledgeable than you as it pertains to football or their players. Most of the time. Hence that little word "probably."

I know, that's a moot and obvious point to make, but that's what I said.

But nowhere do I say you can't have a discussion. I never said DD was playing well. Or that he was a 'good' NFL player. Just like I never said the coaches were right about DD. just that they liked him.

I know those statements are probably a little too precise in their meaning for a large percentage of CPers, but if it helps, I also thought they'd be received almost exactly how you received them.

He gave up 21 points in the Buffalo game all by himself. Are you going to show those vids too?

Sorenson does make some huge plays in crunch time, he does. He is one of the few guys on our Defense that will put his body on the line to really hit someone. But for every big play he makes, he misses 4?, 5?, 6? during the rest of the game.

Did you watch the Buffalo game? Did you see him running around in circles, lost as holy ****? It was obvious that Buffalo planned to go after Sorenson because they considered him the weakest link in our secondary. Who can blame them? If an offense can catch Sorenson in man coverage in space, it's over.

Sorenson needs to be used more like a 2-Down linebacker than a Safety.

Ideally you want Thornhill to track down Diggs deep in the secondary. That has a lot to do with the one calling the shots. It's upsetting.
