He was ok. He had good vision but he's still very limited skillwise. I mean, are we really celebrating 3 yards a carry?

Significantly better than CEH

I'm not sure whether we win if CEH starts.

He doesn't cutback for that touchdown, so we might have kicked a fieldgoal.

What game were you watching? There were several times he picked up 7-8 yards on 1st down to put us in good position. He can reliably punch it in from the goal line or on 4th down, something we haven't had for a while. He breaks tackles and capitalizes on holes by the O-line, both things CEH consistently fails to do. He doesn't fumble. He does everything the coaches ask him to do. I just don't get the criticism.

That’s how you know there’s a bullshit narrative floating around.

If CEH put up these numbers, it would have been considered an awful game.

Williams made some nice plays, and it’s possible that he’s better than CEH, but the “cut him now” talk is a little premature.

Pretty much. Clyde gets a bunch of unfair hate because of where he was selected.

Darrel Williams is a free agent after this year and barring some crazy career altering explosion, he'll be fortunate to land another job in the NFL and we have people saying he's our new RB1 and cut CEH. Its insane.

About the only thing he did yesterday that I question if CEH would do right now, not that he isn't capable or hasn't shown it before, is the patience to cut that run back for the TD. He does have a pretty maddening trend of going where the hole is designed to be and not where it is right now and if the hole isn't where it should be he just rides the ass of his lineman like its 4th and 1 and he's just trying to force a few inches for a first.

I agree that he's better than CEH, but he's still not good. I don't know what the coaches have against McKinnon but he's our most talented back.

You are right, we still need a dangerous RB to start.

Williams solidified our running game today. More dependable or something. It's an improvement for now.

No matter what you ****ing say, he was better than CEH. So he made our running game more productive today.

I still don't understand why we didn't see some Gore late in the game though.
