Off topic, but I really don't understand this. Darrel is some sort of optical illusion, because I watch him play and he seems like a serviceable, reliable, adequate running back. And then at the end of the day we see his stats and he's got 3.7 ypc. I guess those plays where he gets stonewalled in the backfield really hurt his numbers, but even then I wouldn't guess that that happens disproportionately to him. His ypc is a mystery to me.

Well, other than having him run outside plays. It's pretty obvious that he shouldn't be running designed sweeps and I don't know why Andy doesn't see that.

It's because he would be more well served as a short yardage and change of pace back. He's good if you need 2 yards, bad if it's at least 5 or more yards to the sticks.
