Pringle 2, Gordon and Fountain 5 and 6.

The only question is the 2/3 turn, IMO.

If I desperately needed someone to go play the Z for the remainder of the season or hell, even the X, I'd probably prefer it be Robinson.

But if I could only roster one of those 2, not knowing what will happen with the rest of the WR corps, I'd roster Hardman. Because Hardman, while strictly a gadget player, IS worth something as a gadget guy. And in those roles he's far more useful than Robinson and his 2 targets/gm is.

I don't know if Robinson just isn't getting separation or what, but Hardman has twice as many targets as Robinson does. And Patrick seems to openly loathe Hardman while hes often seen socializing with Robinson. From a chemistry standpoint, it would seem Robinson has the edge.

Yet Patrick's never sending the ball his way anymore. There's gotta be a reason for that.

So ultimately I went with Hardman 3 and Robinson 4. Man Hardman is irritating.

I feel like Hardman's just coasting, if he could just have a come to Jesus moment where he realizes the work he needs to put in off the field. An ounce more of chemistry with Pat would do wonders

If the light were gonna turn on, we'd at least have seen it flicker a time or two.

Remember those old halogen bulbs in the school gymnasium? Oh sure, they take 10-15 minutes to really get bright, but as soon as you flip the switch, you knew the ballasts had ignited and they started to slowly turn on.

I haven't seen anything in 3 years to indicate that Hardman has a switch to flip. This is just who he is. Maybe - if he's extremely lucky - he has Marquis Godwin's career. Or Ted Gin Jr (lower ceiling that Godwin but played a really long time).

But the guy's never going to just become any sort of 3-down receiver. The instincts aren't there.

Time to simply play the slice with this guy and accept him for what he is, not for what we wish he were (Terry McLaurin...)

Hardman is who he is because of his physical skills. It has nothing to do with mental make-up.

It is like Cordarelle Patterson, who was a 1st rounder with the Vikings and never really became a route tree WR.

Patterson has been a big time playmaker on a lot of teams and is one of the best players on the Falcons this year.

Like Patterson, Hardman had 100 yd+ KR TD and 75yd+ Receiving TD as a rookie.

They need to give the kid the plays and patterns that he can do and keep making huge plays with him.

Tyreek is unique as can be to have the acceleration, start and stop and top end speed that he has. Hardman has elite top end speed, acceleration and ability to make cuts at full speed with ball in his hands. He does not have the start and stop of a Tyreek or a full route tree guy.

Mecole is who he is because of his physical makeup. Fans that never could play football come up with this mental makeup criticism because they want to find a way to feel superior to a kid that is doing something.

Just like Andy Reid said in the post-game presser Sunday, it is up to the coaches to come up with plays that highlight the player's skills.

Imagine this dude having to step into Tyreek Hill's spot like he was drafted to do if things went sideways with the witch hunt.

What a shitshow that would have been.

Chiefs might not have a Lombardi Trophy without Mecole Hardman and his KO return TD against Chargers in the 2019 season finale and his long TD receptions against Patriots and Ravens in 2019 regular season.

Funny thing about it is, the same asshole fans who do not appreciate Hardman's production and contribution since he has been here would be against giving DK Metcalf, or Terry McLaurin or Dionte Johnson, a market value second contract if they were here instead of Hardman and had similar production that they have with the teams that did draft them. Or they would be saying some stupid shit about re-signing one of those guys and not re-signing Tyreek Hill to a market value deal.

This Chiefs team is much better than some of their "fans" deserve.

Well this is the dumbest post I've seen today. It's still early, but I think you got the award on lockdown.

Congrats.

I agree. I don't know if he coasts on his athletic ability or just isn't capable of learning those routes and cuts. Yes, he's made some great plays, so has a lot of 2nd tier talent on the roster. But bottom line is he can't be trusted to make routine plays day in and day out. We have him under contract for 2022, but after that I expect the Chiefs to let him walk. Someone will overpay for him and we'll get a draft pick.

You probably don't have the memory ability to recall the big time plays that the kid has made. Is there youngster available to you that can help you find footage from games in the 2019 season on various electronic devices.

In another one of these pisss and moan about Hardman threads a week or two ago. I looked up the stats and Hardman had the most receptions of any player in the NFL that was 3rd on his team in receptions.

The kid plays football a lot better than you post about football. That is for sure. Ask anybody

Pringle is the 2. And he's....fine as that?

I mean, as long as Kelce and Hill are here, you don't necessarily need a dog at #2 but why can't Pringle be a nice solid #2?

Disappointing. In 2019:

He made 2nd team All Pro as Kick Returner.

Had 20.7 yards per reception and 6 Receiving TDs.

Had 104 yard KO return touchdown after Chargers took a second half lead in season finale that Chiefs needed to have a chance at 2nd seed and first round bye.

His KO return when down 24-0 against Texans was the the first momentum changing play in the comeback.

He was awarded the Mack Lee Hill Award by the team as the top rookie for 2019.

I am not sure if the chiefs have an equivalent award for fans that don't know shit about NFL football but think that they do, but you can bet that a lot of folks here would get 1st place votes.

Chiefs should award one don't know shit about NFL football but think they do trophy per zip code.
