Godwin is not a big guy that a low player has to go that low to have a chance at a tackle.

Brady is not the only player saying that a rule change would be a good idea.

Brady has a lot more achievement in the game of football than anybody in this thread pissing and moaning about him.

Not a big guy? So now we base the rules on player size? If you can't hit Gronk in his knees then he will just drag guys 20 yards every catch. Brady is a whiner and only said something because it's his guy. Does this happen every game? No, so let's not go all nuts. Only players saying something are on one side of the ball. Defenders have it hard enough with the rules so let's just **** them more with more penalties they can get for making a tackle. Brady was pissed he got his ass kicked. Thats the real story.

And, in the interest of player safety, especially the most expensive players, don't allow QBs to work outside of the hashes, not be able to run the ball, and make one-hand touch as good as grabbing one of their five flags, and I think the NFL will be genuinely be doing what needs to be done to protect QB's health...

Seriously, if they want no more leg shots as part of tackling then skill players should not be allowed to stiff arm so a defender to get his body on the player to make the type of desired tackle Brady is bitching about.

Great point... And a stiff-arm to the head and neck area should be treated the same as it's treated in other parts of the game.

I think what we're seeing here is evidence that the NFL talks big about player safety, but if it keeps offenses from scoring they DGAF.

Should Devin White still be able to suit up after his bush league tackle cost a player a season? Why didn’t Brady comment on his teammates lack of form tackling knowledge that lead to gifting the Bucs their first NFC south division in almost 20 years. Yeah, something tells me Brady doesn’t want to bring attention to dirty hits costing teams valuable players.

Why would Brady be obligated to comment on something he was not asked about?

If you think something needs to be done to Devin White because he injured Jameis Winston with an illegal tackle, why don't you travel down there and do something about it?

If Tom Brady volunteers some condemnation of Devin White when he is not asked about it, it is not like it creates a time machine that repairs Jameis Winston's knee and puts the teams back on the field to finish that game.

To be fair, I’m sure many Saints reporters would love to ask him that question, but he hasn’t beat the Saints backups all year, so he doesn’t stick around long enough for the real questions to start piling in. I’m guessing he’d have just as hypocritical of a take on it as that idiot Al Bundy spewed off earlier. I’d love to meet Devin White face to face to confront him on the bullshit tackles he makes in the league. Judging by how he plays, though, he’d probably kick me in the nuts and run away like a little bitch, though.

Add lead with the crown of your helmet to the list. A DB does it and flags fly, carry a ball and you can use the crown of your helmet as a weapon all you want. Initiating contact using said helmet, sometime helmet-to-helmet, and it's all good because you are carrying the ball.

What if nose tackle even touches a QB's helmet? "Crime of the century"....

Player safety reigns supreme? I think not... I'm not saying they aren't at all concerned, but their "concern" seems to end at any point when scoring might be made a little more difficult, or offenses are generally had their goal of scoring made more difficult.
