Let's talk about the Bengals [and Hamburger Helper]

This one is huge as far as the #1 seed goes.

Let's talk about it.

If we’ve been lucky, then what happened when the Bengals played the Chargers at home on a normal week?

Not going to be easy.

Chiefs are rolling, but Cincy is going to be tough. We all see what happens if 3 or 4 bounces don't go our way early in the season.

Tough, close losses.

Of course, if those 3-4 bounces go our way we ****ing annihilate the other team......

I want to play the Colts, so Indy fans can stumble onto a few of the Jonathan Taylor threads around here.

Ohio has arguably the 3rd best high school football after Texas and Florida. And now with UC 2 of the top teams in the country in college. Football is a big deal here.

They are high school football smack talking now. I mean...

It will never stop being funny how much they love football in Ohio and yet have been represented by the Browns and Bengals.

No wonder Michigan fans hate these guys

Also when is Titty Meat gonna create an account and talk shit over there

Again, they were playing the Ravens who had 13 healthy defensive players and they lost to the Jets and the Bears

That Team doesn't even remotely resemble what this Team is today. Sorry, I'm done buying BS from what transpired during the first 7 games. This Team is ****ing rolling and they aren't going back.

Ickey shuffle and Sam Wyche announcing on the PA system during the game "you don't live in Cleveland" are the greatest things to happen to Bengals football. Ickey led Bengals so close to a SB win. Loved those old plain helmets from the 70s that just said Bengals.

Imagine losing a Super Bowl to a QB great like Montana.

Building up 7 years of anxiety, build-up, and anticipation to rematch him in the Super Bowl.

Having a 4th quarter Super Bowl lead and watching your defense drop a for sure interception in the end zone -- and then watching that same quarterback that broke your heart 7 years before lead a gamewinning TD to ice it with 34 seconds left in the game.

And then having a 30 year drought AFTER? Good God. I know 97 broke our team with Elway beating us in the playoffs, but unlike the Steelers and Denver fans who are crying about being in a drought, Bengals fans, especially the ol' timers, know a special kind of pain and heartbreak that we used to know all too well (but no longer, thank the lord).

I'll be honest, the mere idea of facing Brady in the Super Bowl again is something I don't want any part of, but at least our franchise would be in good shape afterwards. I'm not even 30 yet, but I'd be in my 60's if we had a playoff win drought like the Bengals have had. Good God. What's most amazing is despite everything, against all odds, they aren't even the most heartbreaking team in their state. Hell, baseball isn't much better for them as their 2012 dream team got Buster Posey'd (know that feeling well). It seems like a few on that forum are both Cincinatti AND Ohio State CFB fans, but God, with their professional sports teams, I can't blame them for waving both of those flags.

On a side note, to the Cincy fans reading this -- here's a 6 year delayed thank you for Johnny Cueto. He was everything we Royals fans needed.

Yeah, but how about them HS football teams, huh? Only TX and FL got anything on them. They've got that going for them, which is nice.

It makes it tough to actually talk smack when a fanbase has gone through the same shit we have. I'm more inclined to rub them a little given it's a regular-season game than if it were a playoff game. Two teams I'd rather not face in the playoffs are the Bengals and the Bills because both are so inconsistent. If they are firing on all cylinders, they can be supremely dangerous but if not they can be a cakewalk. You don't want to hit that chance they play well.
