Let's talk about the Bengals [and Hamburger Helper]

This one is huge as far as the #1 seed goes.

Let's talk about it.

Anyway.

The Bengals are a dangerous team. I'm a Burrow believer. Nice skill position weaponry. Some weeks they look like legit contenders, and then some weeks they just lay an egg. They've got the capability to be a load to handle, but I think they're a year away. Their offensive line is shite, and the defense is suspect.

We should win this game. I'm figuring something like 30-17.

Seems to be where a lot of Bengals fans are at, too (well, until you read their prediction thread, of course). Too inconsistent to be a true contender, but have some flashes of being one. Much like Browns fans thought last season (and Bills fans should have been thinking, but that's apparently an oxymoron).

The Bengals haven't beaten 1 good team all year and got drubbed by the Browns and Chargers.

Plus Cincinnati is a ****ing shithole. All they have is ****ing chilli dogs and Jerry Springer. 1 of the few cities that would look better after a tornado hit it

The formula to win any game for the Chiefs this year has been very simple:

-Win or tie the turnover battle: Chiefs are 8-1, with the one loss coming to the Ravens (and as we all know, without that CEH fumble on the last drive, the Chiefs likely win that game)

-Lose the turnover battle: Chiefs are 3-3 (that includes a minus four in both the Bills and Chargers losses and minus 2 to the Tits!)

If the Chiefs play mistake free ball, they are nearly impossible to beat, particularly since they have seen enough soft shell coverage to effectively beat it....

But they're hosting the top team in the league and are fighting for their playoff lives. I wouldn't expect a mediocre effort.

Not necessarily mediocre, but being able to handle the pressure, too. An inexperienced team can start way too jacked up (potentially what we've seen from the Chiefs, like the early game mistakes in the playoffs versus Houston), and routine plays can end up being overthrown balls or a bad drop trying to look downfield prematurely, or a fumble while trying to do too much, or outsmarting yourself on 4th downs.

It's a fine line, and for an already very inconsistent team, doesn't bode well when adding even more pressure to execute.

I just hope some of our posters on CP don't get too complacent. We're going to need all hands on deck in the GDT.

Their home record is worse than their away record.

I see that trend continuing.

I'm not up-to-date on all possible scenarios, but aren't they in jeopardy of missing the playoffs entirely?

If they lose to us next week, the division could come down to their week 18 matchup with the Browns who smashed them @ CIN just a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure 9-8 will get you into the AFC playoff picture this year.

They just need one win in their final 2 games to win their division. As long as they beat Cleveland then they're in the playoffs.
