It already is different and will continue that way because you can't obviously have ties in the playoffs.

We all were crying when it happened to us so can't be hypocrites now.

Actually, I wasn't crying at all.

Most of us weren't even concerned about an OT that never would have happened if Dee Ford weren't so goddamn dumb.

Josh Allen even said the OT rules need to be left the way they are. Much respect to him

One other thing, remember who the DC was at the time.

The vast majority of Chiefs fans were blaming the real problem - the defense couldn't get a stop when it mattered.

The Bills fans bought into that whole #1 defense crap and so they're convinced now that they got ****ed by the rules, not by their defense.

We already know better. We had 16 weeks of proof that our defense was horrid and couldn't get a stop in crunch time.

552 yards of offense versus the #1 defense that feasted off a long list of bad QB’s the last 3 months. The defense that was built to beat the Chiefs just gave up 42 points and over 100 yards more than what they allowed in the AFCCG. Somebody posted the list of QB’s they faced earlier, but Brady was the only legit QB they faced in the last 3 months, and they gave up nearly 500 yards of offense in that game.

There was some level of anger about not seeing Mahomes have a chance.

However, there is much more outrage about not seeing Allen.

I am actually stunned by the ferocity of the weeping. For whatever reason, Allen has really become a folk hero to the media. I suppose it has to do with the idea that the Bills fans "deserve" a ring.

Emotion overrides rational thought. Either way, one QB was going to get "screwed" last night per the current rules. As I said earlier, this outrage is less about the rule itself but more about Allen. No media hacks are weeping if Alex Smith or Jimmy G are left sitting on the bench without a shot.

There’s always been an east coast bias with the media. Other than ESPN being located in New England, I really don’t get why they have such a hard on for Buffalo. It’s a dumpy rust-belt city that no one would ever want to visit, including people that live in NYC. I suppose the whining is just an inherent east coast thing, although Jets/Giants fans seem to be a little more level headed than Bills and Pats fans.

It is the fan thing with Buffalo. They are cast as this fantastical group who watched four straight Super Bowl losses but still show up bare chested in freezing temperatures. Lions fans are mocked but Bills Mafia is seen as deserving.

Doesn't make any sense to me. Every fan base has a loyal core of die-hards that is augmented by bandwagon fans when the team becomes relevant.

Yea, people need to speak for themselves. I remember most of us being more upset at Sutton, Dee Ford, and the refs than the OT rules.

That was honestly the last thing I was crying about.

The OT rules work okay for normal QBs in regular season games that don't matter so much.

So why should we care if the OT rules totally don't work for two elite QBs (you know, the type that tend to go deep in the playoffs) in the biggest games of the season?

They work fine.

I don't have a problem with the rules at all.

The #1 defense in the league (we heard it at least a DOZEN times last night during the broadcast) needed to get a stop and they couldn't.

Sucks to be them. No rule changes needed.
