It worked out fine because Mahomes had to get rid of the ball quick. Any kind of scrambling turns that into one last Hail Mary type play.

Wouldn't surprise me if there's a tiny bit of gamesmanship going on here as well. If he's allowed to FP, there's not really any incentive to clearing him early.

I'm confused as well. Is the "independent neurologist" local or do they have to come from NFL HQ?
